My name is Lauren, I was born and raised in a little town called Sneads Ferry on the coast of North Carolina. My family’s story is woven into the water here, from generations of working fishermen to beach days that never really end

I paint mostly in watercolor, drawn to the beautiful Carolina skies, shrimp boats resting on the horizon, and the quiet beauty of everyday coastal life. I occasionally like to return to my original love for acrylics and gouache, and sometimes I even combine the three.

My art is so much more than dreamt-up scenery to me. They are memories, moments from my childhood, and reflections of the simple life that I call “home.”
